Created for Network for Electronic Transfers Singapore (NETS), this website is part of an integrated marketing campaign aimed to create awareness and to engage the consumer for the new NETS FlashPay card in Singapore – a newly launched stored-value card can be used on MRTs/Buses and in more than 2,500 retail points island-wide in Singapore.

USER-INTERFACE

All collaterals urged users to go on to the campaign microsite for more information on everything they want to know about the card. The website therefore plays a very significant role in delivering accurate information in the most user-friendly way.

Using a user-centric approach, we asked ourselves who our target audience are, and what information will they be looking for when they come on to the site. With this new card, a lot of users will be coming on to the site for crucial information such as “where to buy”, “where to use” and so on. Naturally, we placed all the important information right on the homepage to help users find the information they want quickly and easily.

We also recognised that it is important to understand the information that the site dispenses and how best to present it. For example, this card is accepted in more than 2,500 retail points in Singapore and this number will grow. We went with doing a search so that the user can quickly search for the relevant merchant address and details.

The site is also more interesting with the addition of short, and easy to watch videos that illustrates to the user what the new card can do.

This site was launched on the 9th of October, but there are on-going efforts to continually monitor online forums and customer feedbacks to continually improve the website’s usability.
 

ON-SITE ENGAGEMENT

We also created an informative but easy to play online game to engage and allow users to interact with the card and the card mascot. The simple game lets users walk away with the key message that the new NETS FlashPay card can be used on MRTs, Buses and at retail points.

The storyline:

The BEE mascot has an errand to run and needs the user’s help. To complete the errand, the user and the BEE has to do the following:

$6,000 worth of shopping vouchers to be given away!

S$6,000 worth of vouchers to be given away!

 - take a bus to a shopping centre to buy the items on the errand list

 -use the NETS FlashPay card to pay for the bus ride
 - at the shopping centre, catch the items in your errand list to check out (all of these items can be purchased using the FlashPay card in reality)
 - pay for the items using the NETS FlashPay card
 - errand complete!
 - take a MRT back to BEE’s home
